In today’s fast paced world, a lot of people are “connected” to each other. But despite that, they seem to have lost touch with their neighbors and their community. People don’t take a stroll in the neighborhood parks or take time to visit a museum. But that doesn’t mean they don't want to explore that part of life, but only for the lack of the right platform. While nothing can truly match the face-to-face conversations that we used to have in the past era, we can create a platform that replicates those interactions. The current available options, which purportedly connect people online, typically occupy different spaces of a person’s life and revolve around the vanity-laced I-me-myself paradigm. We intend to discover and showcase the truly real expressions, suffused with the soul of a city by re-imagining the blogging platform, geo-tagging it and making it more localised in nature. The platform - BlogBeats - would then act as a virtual town-square and bring back those times.
